Closing and re-opening a transmittal

When a transmittal has been sent, processed, and is no longer considered active, you should change its status to closed. This removes the transmittal from the Workroom view when the Open filter is active. A transmittal can be closed regardless of whether it has been received or acknowledged. You may not close transmittals that have been sent to you.

To close a transmittal:

  1. Open the transmittal as described in Viewing and editing a transmittal.
  2. In the ribbon, in the Transmittal group, click Close. The status of the transmittal changes to Closed.

To re-open a closed transmittal:

  1. Open the transmittal as described in Viewing and editing a transmittal.
  2. In the ribbon, in the State group, click Re-open. The status of the transmittal changes to Open.
